Supervisor resigns from board in Community Development District 1

Supervisor Clyde Long on Friday morning resigned from his seat on the Community Development District 1 board.

The Village of Palo Alto resident indicated he is resigning due to medical issues. He called his five-plus years on the board “very enjoyable.”

CDD 1 Chairman Ellen Cora accepted Long’s resignation with “great regret.”

CDD 1 will launch the process of seeking applicants interested in filling Long’s seat. The four-year term lasts through 2018.
