Oxford man jailed after failing to appear on shoplifting charge

A 26-year-old Oxford man was jailed on $2,000 bond following his arrest on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in Lake County Court on a charge of shoplifting.

Garrett Dale Thalgott of 12181 N. U.S. 301 was taken into custody Friday at the Sumter County Detention Center by Lake County sheriff’s deputies. He was transferred to the Lake County Jail.

He is due for arraignment on Sept. 16 in Lake County Court.
