Lady Lake man jailed on $10,000 bond

A 35-year-old Lady Lake man was jailed on $10,000 bond after he was arrested early Saturday morning on a charge of driving while license suspended or revoked.

Gregory Allen Wainscott was arrested by a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy after a traffic stop for a non-functioning headlight.

Wainscott told the deputy his license was not valid in Florida and that he was waiting for clearance from the state of Indiana to reinstate his Florida license.

Wainscott was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center.
