Eustis man dies after his SUV strikes power pole

A 58-year-old Eustis man was killed Monday afternoon after his SUV struck a power pole in Lake County.

The man has been identified as Paul Thomas, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred at 12:20 p.m. at Dora Avenue and Lake Saunders Drive. Thomas suffered a possible medical issue, according to the FHP report.

He was transported to Waterman Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
