Robert ‘Bob’ David Wismer

Robert “Bob” David Wismer, 75, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family at his home in The Villages, Florida on July 9, 2015. Bob was born April 25, 1940 in Vancouver British Columbia, Canada where he grew up, met his wife Jacqueline “Jacquie” Margaret Whittle, earned his electrical engineering degree and started his career in the Forestry Industry as a sawmill plant electrician. Bob and Jacquie had four kids in Canada before moving to the suburbs of Atlanta, GA in 1970 to follow Bob’s career. Bob and Jacquie retired to the The Villages, Florida in 1997. Bob was preceded in death by his father Arthur Robert Wismer, his mother Winifred Wismer and his wife of 39 years Jacqueline Margaret Wismer. Bob is survived by his sister – Elaine Johanson; Children – David Arthur Wismer (Martina) of Hoschton, GA, Robert John Wismer of Leesburg Fl, Ronald Sam Wismer (Jacque) of Sugar Hill, GA and Julie Ann Wismer of Ball Ground, GA; Grandchildren – Elisabeth Gabrielle Boyd (Eric), Jodie Rhonda Wismer, Cameron Jack Wismer, Makenzie Chase Wismer, Charles Edward Bates III; Great Grandchildren – Charles Trystan Boyd, Kenneth Greyson Boyd and numerous nieces and nephews in Canada. Services will be held July 16, 2015. The family will begin accepting guests at 10 a.m. at Beyers Funeral Home located at 134 US-441, Lady Lake, FL 32159.
