Charles Bender, 94, Leesburg, FL, passed away on June 25, 2015 at his residence under the loving care of his family. Mr. Bender was retired from American Book and Stratford Press Company as a Print Shop Manager. He and his late wife moved to Leesburg in 1990 from New Windsor, New York. He was of the Christian faith and a Veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army Air Force. He was a member of the Rotary Club in New York and loved to bowl and when he was 88 bowled a perfect game. He is survived by his loving children: William (Linda) Bender of Walkill, NY, Robert (Lisa) Bender of New Paltz, NY, Kathleen Bender of Leesburg, FL, Christine Bender of Leesburg, FL and Claudia Amsler of Brooksville, FL; a sister: Helen Dymick of Leesburg, FL; two grandchildren: Patrick Bender and Christopher Bender; one great grandson: Peyton Bender and several loving nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be on Monday, June 29, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Page-Theus Funeral Home, Leesburg, FL. A visitation will take place prior to the service from 10 – 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Leesburg, FL.
