Great-grandson of famed musician to host local event for Ben Carson

John Philip Sousa IV, the great-grandson of the famed band leader, will be bring his tour on behalf of Ben Carson to Thursday evening to American Legion Post 347 in Lady Lake.
Sousa is the author of “Ben Carson: RX for America.” Carson announced his presidential candidacy in May.
Sousa will be giving brief remarks then will be signing free hard cover copies of the book.
The event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m.

Carson drew a large, enthusiastic crowd when he signed books June 1, 2014 at the Barnes & Noble at Lake Sumter Landing.
