Charles ‘Chuck’ Hagood

Charles ‘Chuck’ Hagood, age 80, of The Villages, FL passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015 under the care of The Villages Hospice House. He was the husband of Norma Hagood. Born in Carson, Iowa he was a son of the late Mervin and Lutie Hagood. Chuck and Norma moved to The Villages in 1998 from Des Moines, Iowa. He was a veteran of the Iowa National Guard. Prior to his retirement he was a Plant Manager for Archer Daniels Midland Company. He was a member of the Christian Church of Oakland, Iowa and affiliated with the First Baptist Church at The Villages. He was an avid golfer and loved watching all sports especially the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Above all, his greatest joy and love was for his family. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 57 years, Norma; son, Jeffrey Hagood of Council Bluffs, Iowa; daughter, Laurie Beaver and her fiancé Dan O’Byrne of Omaha, Nebraska. He is the grandfather of Audrey Beaver of Santa Monica, California; Meredith Beaver, Rachel Beaver and Madeline Beaver all of Omaha, Nebraska. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 3 p.m. at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages, FL 32159 with a gathering to follow. Interment will be in Oakland, Iowa at a later date.
