Ed Kowalski, 80, passed from this life Friday, December 5, 2014.  Born in Detroit, MI, Ed retired as a Computer Design and Systems Development Manager from General Motors / EDS after 37 years of service.  He came to The Villages with his wife Betty in 1995 from Michigan.  Ed was an active member of St. Timothy’s Catholic Church.  He enjoyed bowling, golf, card playing and was a long time cruiser.   Ed was most proud of his marriage of 50 years to his wife Betty and his family.  He leaves his wife Betty, children, Kim Cortes (Ryan),  Michelle Harper (Leon), Michael and Lawrence; sisters, Pamela Kowalski (Peg) and Phyllis Jonas, five grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  Unfortunately, he was predeceased by his daughters Julie and Denise.  A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 10 AM.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, 1351 Paige Pl., Lady Lake, Fl 32159 or to Cornerstone’s The Villages Hospice House, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162.
