William David Toothaker Sr.

William David Toothaker, Sr., 85, Fruitland Park, FL went to be with the Lord on August 2, 2014 at his residence under the loving care of his family. Mr. Toothaker was born on October 30, 1928 in Licking County, Ohio to his parents Murrel and Mary Toothaker. He was a former store manager for W.T. Grants and had started in the retail industry at age 16 working at the McCrory’s in downtown Leesburg. He was a longtime resident of Central Florida and had graduated from Leesburg High School in 1946. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Leesburg. He was an avid water skier who loved to water ski and shared his love with his son’s. He also had been the East Coast Water Skiing Champion of 1954. He is survived by his loving wife of over 64 years: Bertha Toothaker of Fruitland Park, FL; three sons: William David Toothaker, Jr. (Lynn) of Eustis, FL, Richard Wayne Toothaker (Roberta) of Belleview, FL and Kenneth Alan Toothaker (Ginger) of Fruitland Park, FL; a sister: Elizabeth Ann O’Dell of Prospect, TN; six grandchildren: William David, III, Deanna, Ashley, Heidi, Adaiah and Keturah; eighteen great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 10:00AM at Page-Theus Funeral Home Chapel, Leesburg, FL.
