Villages-News.com: # 1 website in The Villages after only one year

Villages-News.com would like to thank each and every reader for making our first-year more successful than we could have ever imagined!

Our team at Villages-News.com strives for excellence in every capacity. From reporting news on a continuous, 24-hour basis, to ensuring that no fact goes unchecked and no opinion goes unstated. We never have and never will cut corners to get the real news, right now.

It comes as no surprise that in our first year, we have become the number one website in The Villages, with more unique visitors and visits than any other website. When it comes to reading about local events happening in the community, tens of thousands of Villagers and residents of the surrounding area make their way to our website each and every day.

The beauty of Villages-News.com, however, is that our readers don’t have to be locally based. In fact, our website is read on every continent, every day. In countries where Villagers frequent, like Canada and the United Kingdom, we have a presence stronger than any other website.

Unlike any other traditional news source, our readers are able to read our publication from anywhere in the world to keep tabs on “Florida’s Friendliest Hometown.”

As part of our year anniversary celebration, you will notice some changes to our website in the coming weeks. Before some of those changes take place, we thought it might be useful to list some tips for using our website:

1)    Technical Difficulties (i.e., Classifieds, Community Events, etc.)

a.    If you experience technical difficulties while using our website, click on “Contact Us” at the top of any page of our website and let us know!

2)    CAPTCHA Problems

a.    To distinguish between SPAM and real users, CAPTCHA are used to submit comments, classifieds, or community events. They come in the form of a simple math equation, or a scrambled group of letters. When you answer them correctly, your information is submitted through the proper channels. If you are having problems with CAPTCHA, click on “Contact Us” at the top of any page of our website and let us know!

3)    Looking up old stories

a.    If you ever want to read old stories that we have written, we have a “SEARCH” feature available on the top right side of ever page. This feature looks up old stories by keyword. If you ever have a problem using our search feature, click on “Contact Us” at the top of any page of our website and let us know!

4)    Sending us News

a.    If you feel that you have something newsworthy to share, you can always submit a “Letter to the Editor” by visiting our “Letters to the Editor” section. If you have problems using our “Letters to the Editor” section, click on “Contact Us” at the top of any page of our website and let us know!

5)    Problems with Subscription to Email Newsletter

a.    Some of you may experience issues with our email newsletter service (i.e., you were unsubscribed, you aren’t receiving emails, etc.). If you are ever experiencing a problem, click on “Contact Us” at the top of any page of our website and let us know!

We hope these tips are useful and encourage you to contact us with your questions. Thanks to all of you for being readers of Villages-News.com and we look forward to serving you for years to come!
