Two wildly popular Villages restaurants are getting closer to opening their new locations in Brownwood.

Gator’s Dockside already has a very popular location in Spanish Springs Town Square. That location in La Reina building had been a revolving door for restaurants for years, but that all changed when Gator’s Dockside moved in.

The Florida chain’s newest location at 3698 Meggison Road in Brownwood will have its grand opening beginning at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 18.

Interviewing has been taking place at a brisk pace to get staffing in place prior to the opening.

Just a stone’s throw away and at the entrance to Brownwood off State Road 44, Cody’s Original Roadhouse continues to take shape.

The sign is up and the exterior work is nearly complete.

Cody’s at Lake Sumter Landing is one of the most popular restaurants in The Villages. Cody’s moved into Lake Sumter Landing in the building formerly occupied by Up The Creek.
