Summerfield driver charged with DUI after crash at U.S. 301, CR 466

A 40-year-old Summerfield woman was charged with driving under the influence with property damage following an accident this weekend at the intersection of U.S. Hwy 301 and County Road 466.

Jennifer Wooten was driving a Silverado truck which collided with another truck in the early morning hours Friday at the intersection in Oxford, according to the Florida Highway Patrol report.

When the FHP officer arrived on the scene, the air bag in Wooten’s vehicle had been deployed and she had been transported to The Villages Regional Hospital.

The FHP officer went to the hospital and interviewed Wooten. She was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center.
