Steve Brown of Village of Fernandina latest to file for CDD seat

Steve Brown of the Village of Fernandina is the latest Villager to file paperwork for a Community Development District seat.

He prefiled Friday for Seat 5 in CDD 9.

Brown was appointed to CDD 9 in February.

Here is a look at some of the other prefilings and paperwork pickups for CDD seats.

• District 1: Clyde Long has prefiled for re-election to Seat 4.

• District 2: Bryan T. Lifsey has filed paperwork to run for Seat 1 in CDD 2. He was selected to fill that seat vacated by Robert Houston who moved out of the district.

• District 3: Steffan Franklin has picked up paperwork to run for Seat 1 in CDD 3. The seat is currently held by John Goetz. Tilman Dean has prefiled to run for re-election to Seat 4 in CDD 3.

• District 6: CDD 6 Chairwoman Sally Moss and Supervisor Peter Moeller have prefiled paperwork to run for re-election. Russ D’Emidio has picked up paperwork to run for re-election to Seat 4.

• District 7: Dennis Broedlin has prefiled paperwork  to run for Seat 1 in CDD 7. That seat is currently held by Niles Getz, who prefiled to run for re-election in January. Ron Ruggeri prefiled in March to run for re-election to Seat 3. Ron McMahon, who currently serves as chairman of CDD 7 has prefiled to run for his seat.

• District 8: Victor Ray of Montbrook Villas in the Village of Tamarind Grove has prefiled for Seat 3 in CDD 8. Seat 3 in CDD 8 is currently held by Kelly Flores. The seat is transitioning from a landowner-selected seat to a resident-elected position. Seat 5 Supervisor Joe Elliott has prefiled his paperwork to run for election. Elliott was appointed to CDD 8 last year.

• CDD 9: Stuart Brewer has picked up paperwork to run for Seat 4. J.R. Rebecky of the Village of Gilchrist was appointed to Seat 4 earlier this year.
