Edward Jerome Fairbanks, age 82, of Lady Lake, Florida, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014.A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Beyers Funeral Home in Lady Lake. Revs. from St. Alban’s Anglican Church will be officiating. He is survived by Daniel Fairbanks, grandson; His nephew and niece Mark and Cheri Ann Galbraith; His niece’s Amy Sue Looby and Heather Lyn Looby; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Bobby and Porter Saltus of The Villages. He is preceded in death by his wife Marolyn Saltus Fairbanks and daughter Vicki Burten. Jerry was a 15 year resident of Lady Lake, attending classes on WWI as he possessed a strong desire to continue learning. He had a passion for History throughout his entire life. He taught History at Lassiter High School for over a decade in Marietta, GA after retiring from the US Marines as a Major with honors including a Purple Heart award.
