Angela Arrigo takes top honors at Saturday’s VAA Art Extravaganza

Artist Angela Arrigo was awarded first place in the Art Extravaganza show Saturday at Laurel Manor Recreation Center.

The event was put on by the Visual Art Association and featured more than 65 artists exhibiting their two dimensional artwork.

Richard Colvin, director of the Lake Eustis Museum and artist of paintings and printmaking,  judged selected pieces.

“The crowd was really huge and we were happy to see everyone,” said Arrachme, president of the VAA.

Awards at the event went to:

Top Finishers

1st place  Angela Arrigo  “Bridge Across Withalacoochi” (oil)

2nd place Carol Basso  “In the Mood” (oil)

3rd  place  Joyce Rick  “Dark Horse”  (oil)

• Frank Lampardi “Erwin at the Sink” (colored pencil)

• Nancy Dias “Autumn Spray” (water color)

• Sharon Wilson “The Beautiful Magnolia” (water color)
