John Lorinc laces a hit for the league leading 4-0 Kings.

Hi Celtics!

WOW!  Nice come from behind victory, down 18-10 going into the bottom of the 5th, things not looking good, we came back with eleven unanswered runs to win  21-18.  I have to give the game balls to Bob Logterman 4/4, three triples, and Dave Snow also 4/4 and turning a big double play momentum changer in the 6th inning. Nice going guys. We also had Dave Bronte 3/4 , who also made a nice catch in RCF, late in the game. It was a rough day for outfielders.  Tony was 3/4 and is hitting the ball like he was fifty instead of eighty. The second half of our batting order had an excellent day:  Charlie 2/3 and another homerun; Gordie 2/3; Paul 2/3, andhe runs like a twenty year old, I am envious. And Bob Russell 2/4, a team player and a good pitcher. I know he was happy to contribute today on the hitting end. Actually even though Bill Oar has an OTF homerun, Paul & Charlie lead the team with two homeruns apiece. Bill drove another long one to the fence, but it was caught at least he got a SAC out of it. We had nine extra base hits to the Grizzlies four. Every game we seem to have someone new step up to the plate. If we ever put together in a game, we will score thirty runs a game. I gotta admit my prediction of scoring twenty runs today did come true.
See You Guys On Thursday For Some More Excitement, Don

Hello Bobcat!

Two in a row!  Twenty-seven hits again.  Seventeen walks…Can’t expect this again.  Of course the game would have been a lot closer if the Sixers regular pitcher was present.  We scored fourteen runs Monday on twenty-seven hits and three walks.  What I am saying is don’t let the thirty runs go to your head. We got a break today. We did out hit the Sixers 27-21, but they had seven XBH to our four including five homers.  We also had four to the Mavericks six XBHs Monday, but out hit them 27-23 which proves that XBHs don’t necessarily win games.
Again everyone contributed!  Everyone had a least one hit, one ribbie and scoreD one run.  And except for the first inning, played excellent defense.
Dave, our pitcher, not only did not walk anyone, he also had five rbi’s.  And Billy, our catcher, not only had five hits, but made a super play behind the plate!
Edson played his first game and made it count going four for four with three rbi’s.  Sergio, our super leadoff man, stroked four hits.  Steve stabbed three hits and three ribbies. And Jim who played a great hot corner also had three hits with a triple and three ribeye steaks.   Have a good weekend.  Take care, Sal
