20-year-old motorcyclist dies after crash in Citrus County

A 20-year-old motorcyclist died after a crash Tuesday morning in Citrus County.

Jett Wilfred Lajoie of Crystal River died at Seven Rivers Regional Hospital as a result of the accident which occurred at 8:24 a.m. Tuesday on County Road 488, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

He had been riding a 2000 Honda motorcycle which collided with a 2008 Nissan Armada driven by 68-year-old Kathleen Gunn of Dunnellon. She and a passenger, 72-year-old Larry Gunn, suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene of the accident.

Lajoie had been wearing a helmet, the report noted.
