Over $1,000 worth of tools stolen after Little Lake Weir home burglarized

A Little Lake Weir residence was reportedly burglarized on Monday in Summerfield.

A Marion County sheriff’s deputy responded to the residence located on SE 91st Terrace in reference to a residential burglary, according to an incident report. Upon arrival, the deputy made contact with the victim who advised that he left the residence on Sunday around 4:45 p.m. and secured his home and the shed, the report stated. After arriving the next day, the victim observed that the shed’s master lock was cut off and that his home’s door screen was cut. He told the deputy that because he was renovating his residence, he had multiple tools inside his home and shed. His chop saw valued at $250, battery powered hand drill valued at $150, battery powered brad nailer valued at $75 and wet saw valued at $150 were among the tools reportedly stolen.
