A 38-year-old woman will not be prosecuted in the attempted theft of appliances last month from Lowe’s home improvement store in Lady Lake.
Nicole Lea Buetti of Summerfield had been arrested in November after she and 45-year-old Daryl Shane Williams of Ocala had been spotted by a Lowe’s employee loading appliances into the back of a truck. Williams told the deputy he believed the appliances were scrap and he was planning to resell them
When she was being booked at the Sumter County Detention Center, Buetti allegedly tried to conceal a pipe used for smoking methamphetamine.
However, the criminal case against Buetti has been abandoned, according to documents on file in Sumter County Court.
A criminal case against Williams is pending. He is due back in court on Jan. 3.
