Woman with six-figure job in The Villages accused of collecting $7,015 in Food Stamps

A woman with a six-figure job in The Villages reportedly collected $7,015 in Food Stamps.

Cindy Laraine Clark, 54, of the Villages of Parkwood, was arrested last month on a warrant charging her with welfare fraud. She remains free on $2,000 bond.

Clark earned $133,191 in wages between Sept. 25, 2015 and Dec. 30, 2016 at her job at Amedisys Holdings LLC in The Villages, owner of Amedisys Home Health headquartered at Lake Sumter Landing, according to an affidavit from the Florida Department of Financial Services Division of Public Assistance Fraud.

Between October 2015 and December 2016, Clark collected $7,015 in Food Stamps.

Clark indicated to the Department of Children and Families that she was not employed, the affidavit said.

Clark is due for arraignment April 9 in front of Judge William H. Hallman in Sumter County Court.

She is facing a third-degree felony charge.
