Woman tracked down after attack on her sister last year in Orange Blossom Gardens

Vanessa Leigh Bellacchio

A woman has been tracked down after an attack on her sister last year in the Village of Orange Blossom Gardens.

Vanessa Leigh Bellacchio, 35, was arrested June 12 in Marion County on a warrant charging her with domestic battery. The warrant for her arrest had been issued last year.

Lady Lake police responded on Aug. 23 to a home on West Boone Court after Bellacchio allegedly “clawed” at the neck of her 29-year-old sister from Brooklyn, N.Y. The two had been arguing when the brawl broke out, according to an arrest report. Bellacchio is also accused of pulling her sister’s hair. Family members broke them up. Bellacchio fled the scene before police arrived.

The sister insisted on prosecution.
