An Oxford man and woman were arrested Saturday in The Villages by a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy.
The deputy had noticed 27-year-old William Lolley driving a Jeep sport utility vehicle on Old Mill Run and knew that Lolley’s license was suspended.
While the deputy was handcuffing Lolley, 21-year-old Amber Renee Schaffer approached the deputy and shouted, “I will have your job first thing in the morning for harassment,” according to the arrest report. When the deputy asked her to step back and get back into her vehicle, she used profanity, stood in the same spot and lit a cigarette, the arrest report indicated.
She was arrested on a charge of resisting an officer and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $1,000 bond.
Lolley was arrested on a charge driving while license suspended and booked on $500 bond.
