Williston man killed after being ejected from car in high-speed crash

Bryan Brown

A Williston man was killed early Saturday morning in a single-car crash in Levy County.

Bryan Daunte Brown, 37, was pronounced dead at 2:47 a.m. after being transported to UF Shands Hospital in Gainesville. He was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from his car during the crash, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

Brown had been traveling east on NE 50th Street from NE 121st Street at a high rate of speed at about 12:30 a.m. when his 2008 Chevrolet Impala traveled onto the grass shoulder of the roadway. His car sideswiped several fence posts and a barbed wire fence before beginning to rotate clockwise on the south grass shoulder and overturn, ejecting Brown from the vehicle in the process, the FHP report says.
