A 27-year-old Wildwood man was arrested after a K-9 assisted during a traffic stop Tuesday night on U.S. 301.
Michael Rafael Leo Garza was pulled over at 11:18 p.m. Tuesday at U.S. 301 and County Road 462 for a non-functioning taglight, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.
After the K-9 alerted on the vehicle, methamphetamine and needles were discovered. It also appeared that Garza had attempted to destroy evidence in the case.
He was arrested on charges possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug equipment and tampering with evidence. He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $8,000 bond
