Wildwood man arrested after marijuana found stashed inside chewing tobacco container

A Wildwood man was arrested Monday night after he was found to have marijuana stashed inside a chewing tobacco container.

Andrew Charles Stietenroth III, 46, had been a passenger in a green Hyundai Santa Fe that was pulled over at about 8 p.m. on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.

A K-9 unit arrived on the scene and the dog alerted on the vehicle, indicating the presence of drugs.

The chewing tobacco container was found in the passenger side door of the vehicle. It contained 7.96 grams of marijuana.

Stietenroth was arrested on a charge of marijuana possession and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. Bond was set at $1,000.
