Wildwood couple arrested on battery charges after domestic disturbance at their residence

A Wildwood couple was arrested Monday at their residence after a domestic disturbance.

Sumter County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched at about noon Monday to the home of Michael Christopher Demers, 41, and Jessica Carroll Demers, 38, on County Road 121.

The couple had gotten into an argument over GPS equipment and when he was walking away with it, she threw a folder and two key FOBs at him, striking him in the back of the neck, the arrest report indicated.

Both were arrested on charges of battery and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center.
