Countless golf carts from The Villages and Stonecrest travel over a dirt path between the Aldi grocery store and Wal-Mart on U.S. 441 every day.
The path had become overgrown with brush and low-hanging tree branches. Volunteers have stepped forward to remedy this possible dangerous situation and have begun clearing the brush and trimming the trees. One large dumpster filled with brush was awaiting removal Wednesday afternoon and at least one more large dumpster will be needed to remove the rest of the undergrowth which has been cut.
