Visitor from Pennsylvania arrested after fight with husband at hotel in The Villages

A woman visiting from Pennsylvania was arrested after she reportedly began punching her husband Thursday night in their room at Towneplace Suites in Spanish Springs.

Lisa M. Livecchi, 45, of Murrysville, Pa. had been drinking when she got into an argument with her husband over financial matters, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. The argument broke out after the couple returned to their hotel room after having dinner. She allegedly began punching her husband in the face with her first.

The husband locked himself in the main bedroom of their hotel suite to get away from Livecchi. He later told police he gets scared of his wife “because she gets out of control when she drinks,” according to the arrest report. He also told police that this wasn’t the first time this had happened. He said his wife had previously physically hurt him in their home state of Pennsylvania, but police had never been called.

Livecchi, who originally told police that the disagreement had been purely verbal, then changed her story and said her husband had grabbed her by the wrist and tried to break it.

Livecchi was arrested on a charge of domestic battery and booked at the Lake County Jail. Bond was set at $500.
