Villages’ Sons of the American Revolution to receive charter this weekend

The Villages is the location for the newest chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. The chapter will be presented with its charter at 10 a.m. Saturday Jan. 9, at Captiva Recreation Center on Pinellas Place in the Village of Sanibel.

Florida (FLSSAR) Society President Dr. Lawrence Fehrenbaker will present the charter and install the chapter’s founding officers.

Dr. Scott Bushnell, regional vice president, FLSSAR will act as emcee for the ceremony. Lindsey Brock, former president general, NSSAR and other officials will also participate.

Villages Officers to be installed include:

David Bussone – President

Dan Hungerford – Vice President

Albert Paul – Treasurer

Bill Dyer – Registrar

Ron Toops – At Large Member

Dr. Don Wyman – At Large Member

SAR members, those who wish to join the SAR, and our sisters from the Daughters of the American Revolution, and spouses are invited to attend and join in the celebration.
