A Villager who was charged with stealing a neighbor’s truck last year, found himself on the wrong side of the law again.

Devon Christopher Daily, 44, of the Village of Tall Trees, was cited by Lady Lake police last week for driving a golf cart with headphones covering both his ears, having an open beer in the cart as well as marijuana and drug paraphernalia with him.

He was cited by a Lady Lake police officer after he had been operating the golf cart Friday afternoon at Griffin Avenue and La Grande Boulevard.

Daily was arrested last year after he allegedly took his neighbor’s Ford F-150 truck. He had been charged with breaking into the neighbor’s house this past August and taking the truck’s keys. He drove the truck to the Peppertree Apartments in Wildwood to “party,” the arrest report indicated.

In January, he was sentenced to seven months in jail with credit for time already served. He was ordered to pay fines and court costs of $1,143 in that case.
