A Villager was arrested for the second time this month at GarVino’s at Lake Sumter Landing.

Sumter County sheriff’s deputies were called at 1:05 p.m. Sunday to GarVino’s on Canal Street after 66-year-old Thomas Steadman of the Village of Virginia Trace was spotted in the lounge area, smoking a cigar and drinking a beverage.

Steadman had been ordered to stay away from GarVino’s following his arrest there earlier this month.

In this latest arrest, Steadman also had run up an $8.42 tab, but only had $2 and no other means to pay for it, according to the arrest report.

He was arrested on charges of trespassing and petit theft and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. He was released after posting $1,000 bond.
