A 55-year-old Village of Rio Grande man was arrested Tuesday evening after he allegedly threatened two people in his home with a knife and a gun.

Sumter County sheriff’s deputies were called at about 6:30 p.m. to a home on San Pedro Drive. A woman said that Scott David Wolfe had slapped her across the face the previous day and had threatened to shoot her between the eyes. She showed deputies various spots in the home where Wolfe kept firearms, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

Another man said Wolfe had threatened to stab him and threw a knife into the wall, which the deputy saw was still lodged in the kitchen wall.

When a deputy interviewed Wolfe in the kitchen, he advised the deputy he had been drinking.

Wolfe was arrested on a felony charge of aggravated assault and misdemeanor charges of simple assault and battery. He was booked on $11,000 bond at the Sumter County Detention Center.

In 2014, Wolfe had been arrested after striking his girlfriend at his home after a night of drinking. You can read about that arrest HERE. However, Wolfe’s attorney, Joseph Indelicato, was able to persuade the prosecutor’s office to drop the case.

On March 7, 2015, Wolfe was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and open container at the intersection of Bichara Boulevard and Avenida Central.
