Village of Springdale woman sentenced in driving under the influence case

A Village of Springdale woman has been sentenced in connection with a drunk driving arrest this past December.

Jean Ann Boysen, 66, had been arrested by Sumter County sheriff’s deputies after her vehicle was spotted straying into the golf cart lane. She admitted she had consumed a gin and tonic. In 2007, she had been convicted on a charge of DUI in Minnesota.

Boysen entered a plea of no contest in the case Feb. 12 in Sumter County Court.

She will lose her driver’s license for six months, has been placed on probation for one year and ordered to perform 50 hours of community service.
