Unwanted visitor arrested after showing up at store at Southern Trace Plaza

An unwanted visitor was arrested Wednesday afternoon after showing up at a store at Southern Trace Plaza in The Villages.

Eric Wayne Watson, 33, of Oxford, had been trespassed in August 2016 from Coast to Coast jewelry and coin, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. The owner of the store told deputies he wanted Watson prosecuted after he showed up in spite of the ban. As he was being taken into custody, Watson was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

He was taken into custody and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. Bond was set at  $3,000.

In 2014, Watson was arrested after punching a woman in the nose on Christmas Day.
