Two-day craft fair continues Saturday at Water Oak in Lady Lake

Looking for a decorative pillow, custom-made jewelry, or even a baseball cap with a flashing team logo?

Then look at the variety of handiwork and homemade crafts for sale by 65 vendors at the Water Oak Community Craft Fair that continues from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Water Oak’s main entrance is across from the RaceTrac gas station, at U.S. Hwy. 27/441, on the northbound side. There is courtesy golf cart transportation from designated parking areas.

The two-day event is sponsored by Water Oak’s Community Service Association (CSA) — the umbrella organization for the neighborhood’s 70 social clubs.

“We have been overwhelmed by the wide variety of so many beautiful items – all in one place,” said Tina Galloway, CSA vice president.  “I’ve already been shopping at the craft booths and at the tables of homemade cakes and pastries that were donated by the community’s Creative Needles and Hoopers and Quilters clubs.

Water Oak is a community of 1,200 homes with approximately 1,700 residents.

“Proceeds from vendors’ fees and food station help us fund the several charitable agencies that support veteran organizations and local food banks,” said CSA President Gayle Voiles.
