Successful restaurateur to bring his magic to faltering location in Brownwood

The man who may have had the most success in operating restaurants in The Villages, is bringing his magic to a faltering location in Brownwood.

The Bavarian Brewhaus last year shuttered its prime location at Brownwood Paddock Square. There were complaints about service and poor quality of food. The restaurant made the switch to German fare in 2016. Prior to that it had been known as Las Tapas and offered Spanish-oriented cuisine.

The Bavarian Brewhaus at Brownwood Paddock Square was shuttered last year.

The old real estate rule of “location, location, location,” did little for the struggling eatery.

Fred Karimipour

Enter Fred Karimipour, who runs several successful restaurants in The Villages, including Evans Prairie Country Club, Bonifay Country Club, Belle Glade Country Club and Scooples Ice Cream Parlor and Restaurant.

Karimipour resuscitated Orange Blossom Hills Country Club which sat dormant for a long time. It is once again the beehive of activity it was in its hey day.

Karimipour is bringing the Bluefin Seafood Grill and Bar to the former home of Bavarian Brewhaus.

He has indicated the new restaurant will open in September.
