Someone has been tampering with vending machines at Paradise Recreation Center.
A Lady Lake police officer was called Tuesday to the recreation center on the Historic Side of The Villages after it was discovered that the Pepsi vending machine had been damaged. It appeared that someone had tried to break into the machine.
Paradise Recreation Center Manager Tracy Whitten told police it was the second vending machine to have been tampered with in a span of three weeks, according to an in incident report from the police department.
The report noted that the machine is owned by Pepsi Co. but stocked on a regular basis by Kindred Spirits in The Villages.
