Perkins employee arrested during lunch shift at restaurant in The Villages

A Perkins Restaurant & Bakery employee was arrested while working the lunch shift at the eatery here in The Villages.

Dawnette Dale Goldsmith, 30, was taken into custody on a Sumter County warrant at about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the restaurant on Bichara Boulevard.

She was booked at the Lake County Jail where she was being held without bond for violating her probation for driving a vehicle with no motor vehicle registration.

She also had been arrested in 2017 on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug equipment.
