Peppertree Apartments man arrested with drugs at Wildwood Shopping Center

A 52-year-old resident of Peppertree Apartments in Wildwood was arrested Wednesday night with a syringe with the residue of methamphetamine in his vehicle.

A K-9 from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office alerted on the vehicle after a Wildwood police officer initiated a traffic stop on U.S. 301 at Wildwood Shopping Center.

Wilfred Colon was found sitting in the front passenger seat of the vehicle, which is registered in his name. The syringe was found in the glove compartment.

He was booked on $1,000 bond at the Sumter County Detention Center.
