A man and a woman were arrested Sunday at Wal-Mart at Buffalo Ridge shopping plaza after allegedly concealing more than $100 in items in the woman’s purse.
Carolyn S. Lissimore, 36, of Wildwood, entered the store at about 4 p.m. Sunday with Victor Lasunda Buckner, 25, also of Wildwood, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. They allegedly concealed $105.73 in items in Lissimore’s purse and attempted to leave the store without paying for the items.
Lissimore has two previous retail theft convictions and is now facing a felony charge of petit theft.
Bucker was found to be carrying a pipe which tested positive for residue of methamphetamine. He denied the pipe was his, but later said the pipe was for smoking tobacco and marijuana. He was arrested on a charge of possession of drug equipment.
Buckner is also facing a charge of petit theft.
Both were booked at the Sumter County Detention Center.
