Officials on Monday evening will review an updated site plan for a gun range on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 in Lady Lake.
The Basics: Range & Gun project has been proposed by Franklin Dickinson.
The gun range is to be located on 7.08 acres on U.S. Hwy. 27/41 between Griffin View Drive and Lakeview Street. The facility will include a 10-lane bull’s eye gun range and a 10-lane tactical gun range and a firearm store.
Basics: Range & Gun will sell memberships, but individuals without memberships will be able to shoot with their own weapon and ammunition for $18 a hour.
The facility will also include 59 spaces for RV storage.
In 2016, when Basics made its original pitch to the Lady Lake Commission, a large crowd showed up.
A special commission meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Lady Lake Town Hall.
