A McDonald’s employee armed with a knife was arrested after a customer confrontation over a botched order.

Lady Lake police were called at 8:30 p.m. Sunday to the McDonald’s on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 where they took into custody McDonald’s employee Kahlil Malik Caswell, 19, of Leesburg.

Video surveillance showed he had left the restaurant and was waiting for a ride home when a customer unhappy with his order came out and confronted him, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. The two argued and pointed fingers at each other. Caswell removed a knife, extended the blade and held it down at his side. The customer then walked back to the door to go inside, but turned back to take a swing at Caswell. He followed the customer back into the store, still armed with the knife and that is when police were called.

Caswell was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked at the Lake County Jail on $2,000 bond.
