Marlene O’Toole makes endorsement in race to replace U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio

State Rep. Marlene O’Toole, R-The Villages, has announced her endorsement in the race to replace U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio.

O’Toole has announced she is backing the bid of Lt. Gov. Carlos López-Cantera.

The GOP field to replace Rubio also includes U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis who made an appearance in The Villages earlier this week with Trey Gowdy, the Congressman who led the grilling of Hillary Clinton over Benghazi. Others in the Republican field are U.S. Rep. David Jolly and Orlando businessman Todd Wilcox, who also made an appearance earlier this year in The Villages.

Democratic contenders include U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson who will be in The Villages on Saturday.
