Marion County firefighters battle raging RV blaze in Silver Springs

Marion County Fire Rescue units worked as a team recently while handling a recreational vehicle fire on E. Hwy. 40 near Northeast 14th Street Road in Silver Springs.

This RV was fully engulfed in flames when Marion County Fire Rescue firefighters arrived at E. Hwy. 40 near Northeast 14th Street Road in Silver Springs.

When crews arrived on scene June 8 at noon, they found a large RV fully engulfed in flames, a fire department report says, adding that deputies from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office were called in to assist with traffic control.

The blaze was under control in six minutes and the cause still is under investigation.

Firefighters with Marion Fire Rescue brought this RV fire under control within six minutes recently.
