U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio will headline a fundraiser later this month for Lt. Gov. Carlos Lopez-Cantera, who is hoping to succeed Rubio in the U.S. Senate.
It would appear that Rubio has no interest in answering the call from some GOP leaders that he disregard earlier statements he would not run for a second term.
Rubio will headline the June 24 fundraiser for Lopez Cantera at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables. Attorney General Pam Bondi will also be appearing at the event.
