Two people critically injured after motorcycle and car collide at Rolling Acres Road and County Road 466

Two people were critically injured in a collision between a car and motorcycle Saturday night at Rolling Acres Road and County Road 466.

A Harley-Davidson three-wheel motorcycle collided with a Dodge Dart at 9:15 p.m., according to Lady Lake police.

The car had been stopped at a red light and the motorcycle apparently failed to stop at the intersection.

The male driver and female passenger on the motorcycle, both from Clermont, were transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center.

The driver of the Dodge Dart was a Lady Lake man. He escaped injury. A Fruitland Park woman who had been riding in the car was transported to The Villages Regional Hospital by a family member.

The investigation is ongoing and blood samples have been taken from both drivers for testing which is standard in serious injury accidents, according to the police department.

Identities of those involved in the crash have not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
