A man who had previously threatened to kill an employee was arrested in the early morning hours Saturday at Wal-Mart at Buffalo Ridge Plaza.

Thomas Joseph Incorvaia Jr., 37, of Oxford had been ordered to stay away from the store after making the threat in March, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. He was spotted at about 3 a.m. in the self-checkout lane at the store by store management.

Incorvaia said he knew he had been trespassed from the store, but hoped if he minded his own business he wouldn’t get arrested, the arrest report indicated.

He was arrested on a charge of trespassing and booked on $1,000 bond at the Sumter County Detention Center.
