A 50-year-old Lady Lake man was jailed on $8,500 bond following his arrest Saturday afternoon in the parking lot of Perkins restaurant on Bichara Boulevard in The Villages.
Lady Lake police officers were investigating a report of a stolen truck allegedly taken from the Quarters apartments. The truck was spotted and pulled over at 3:18 p.m. Saturday.
Officers determined that the driver of the truck, Bryan K. Bybee of 409 Ciera Oaks Circle, had his license suspended in March for theft and failure to pay a traffic fine. Drugs and drug paraphernalia were discovered in the truck.
He was arrested on charges of grand theft auto, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license suspended.
He is due for arraignment July 6 in Lake County Court.
