Man arrested one week after his wife was jailed on battery charge

A man whose wife was jailed about a week earlier on a battery charge has been arrested on a similar charge.

Robert Splaine Isherwood, 51, who lives in The Quarters Apartments in Lady Lake, was being held this weekend on $10,000 bond at the Lake County Jail. He was arrested Wednesday by Lady Lake police on a charge of domestic violence. His wife was arrested July 25 after a fight with her husband at their apartment. You can read about her arrest HERE.

While he was living in the Village of Belle Aire, Robert Isherwood had been arrested after a fight with his then-girlfriend over a television channel. You can read about that arrest HERE. He was arrested a week later after he came in contact with her in defiance of a court order. The 2015 charge of domestic battery by strangulation was later dropped. However, Isherwood was sentenced to 12 months probation for violating the court order.
